I know 3rd person is a little jarring for me to read. Also, it's funny, but if I were new to Facebook today I would NOT update in third person. Because after all, it doesn't have the "is" there anymore prompting me to use 3rd person. It's just habit everyone has from before. (Facebook really needs to stop changing everything.)
