Letter Lover

End of the Line

Here it is. The final day of April. It’s been an exhausting month. I’ve sent and unsent 30 letters. I’ve discovered that I don’t always like blogging about the letters I’m writing, but that I do like blogging as often as I’ve been doing it—just about every day. I’ll keep up the pace!

Google analytics tells me that there are roughly 200 of you (some days more and other days less) who stop by here each day. I’m grateful to have you as an audience, and hope we can meet in person someday.

I can’t believe April is over already! I meant to write more letters. Oops. Ah well, I have a good excuse.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!! I’m so happy that you completed the month, and that you have blogged some, about it. Since I found your blog, thus.

Congratulations on making it through the month!! I wrote a letter a day (okay I skipped a couple) along with you. It was harder than I thought and I didn’t even have to blog about it! Thanks for the idea and inspiration!

A letter a day has got to be tough - I only mailed three letters this month!

Just curious, but out of all the people you mailed letters too, did they write back? I’m mostly curious about the people you don’t write to on a regular basis.

Congratulations on making it through the month. And keep up the great work here - it’s a fantastic site to read and a nice fix until you decide to grace us with another book!

I wrote along with you through April 24. On the 25th I couldn’t think of another person to receive my letter! Yeep! I seem to have stopped since then, though perhaps I can do one final today.

I have received back 2 letters from first-time correspondents to me, with 1 more (I hear) in the mail and a fourth (from a regular correspondent) promised. As always, people love it.

I almost count as having done the whole month, since I started 5 days before April–but I stopped 6 days before May!

    Thanks for suggesting this, Samara.

You gals are so sweet. Thanks for your support. I felt your good vibes all month long!

Christina - I’ve only received two letters back thus far (one from Ron and the other from First Person Arts—thanking me for the reading.) But I am confident that I’ll received a few replies, from those I wrote to toward the end, in May.

Also, I am working on the proposal for book number three, and I’ll keep you posted all along the way. There are some other exciting projects in the works, too. As with most big projects though, it’s too soon to tell anything . . .

Not only is your personality amazing, but talk about a great ability to multi-task in your busy life to share your precious moments to write to someone! I feel privileged that you took the time to write to me and blog about me as well. As much as I would love to do back flips (I’m not athletically talented to do this), I have been a very happy camper, kicking my heels.

Life happens, and I let my social life take over, so I have been horrible with my attempt to write a letter every day. Much respect to you for being disciplined in observance of National Card and Letter Writing Month. Regardless of time, I have planned out a list of people to write to, and intend on writing, regardless of how long it may take me to do so. Thank you for inspiring me to reconnect with friends and family through this wonderful initiative.
