I’m going to hold off on my letter to Al Gore. Lisa Ling was on Good Morning America today saying that Mr. Gore is really doing all that he can to get the girls released. I don’t understand how public silence is good, but, admittedly, I know nothing about getting political prisoners released.

This clip is truly hearting breaking—the husbands appear—but I’m so glad to have seen it. It’s been days since there’s been any solid news about the situation, and I fear people are going to forget about it. That’s partially why I want AL Gore to go public, so it doesn’t fade away. Lisa reassures me that Al is doing all he can—more than she expected him to—so I’ll buy that for now.
