You should visit Salzburg too then, that's the 'actual' home of The Sound of Music. There's a tour and it's a nicely walkable place. (Though don't freak out when the door to the mountain is super steep... it doesn't stay that way.) Under €100 to get to Salzburg and back, I think. 'Course, I can't tell you how good my tips will be, but I do know a bit about the museums and things to see in Vienna. You’re going to Vienna really soon!
