What’s Does 2013 Have in Store?
Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday. Mine was both festive and relaxing.
My first semester was fantastic. I loved the professors and the material. The classes I took were Human Behavior and Social Environment (got an A) and Social Welfare Policy (A-). My Human Behavior class required me to do my two favorites things: write and analyze people. In total, I wrote eight papers and gave three power point presentations. It was insightful and exhausting. Now I am enjoying the downtime before it starts again later this month.
In other news. . .sometime in November an unexpected opportunity presented itself. It looks like I might (might!) have a book to write in 2013. Once details are finalized I will share—ideally by the end of the month. Hope your year is off to an inspiring start.

Ahhh!! A new post and a new book!! I’m so excited! Man, I’ve missed this place.
I love analyzing people too but I might be one of those people who thinks too deeply about every little thing. How do you learn to analyze people the proper way? Any good books (even textbooks) you can recommend?
And wow, an American A. In Canada, an A- to an A+ is between 80-100%. Over there to get an A you have to get a mark in the 90′s right? Well done.

I so appreciate your enthusiasm Anna! Happy New Year!
I’ve learned that when I’m analyzing people in my life—friends, family etc.—I can overdue it also. But when there’s a professional line drawn in the sand, I have it in me to give an open-minded evaluation while keeping the situation at arm’s length. Oh yes, and an A in the U.S. is 93 or above and an A- is 90 or above (in my classes anyway).
I would recommend our textbook actually. It was a very lively read—not typically mundane. http://www.amazon.com/Dimensions-Human-Behavior-Person-Environment/dp/1412988799
Today I am one step closer to the book being a done deal. Details to come. . .
